The Nike Foamposite “Blue Mirror” Colorway Is Inspired By The All-Star Weekend’s “Chromeposite”

Nike’s high performance Foamposite model made quite a triumphant comeback this year and Nike wants to sweeten the deal with one last major Foamposite Nike sneakers 2015 before this year comes to end. In fact, it would not be wrong to deem it one of the most anticipated sneaker colorways from Nike of this year. The colorway of the Nike Foamposite being referred to here is the “Blue Mirror,” which despite being an all new iteration of the silhouette tends to resemble another recent iteration of the model that had made its retail debut not so long ago.

Considering that the NBA All-Star Weekend took place earlier this year, it was to be expected that Nike Sportswear would whip up a special colorway for the occasion, and they did precisely just that. The iteration of the silhouette that they created was then dubbed “Chromeposite” or “Mirror” because of its metallic and reflective mirror-like appearance. It was actually this colorway that was responsible for bringing the Nike Foamposite back into the sneaker scene. Now, as a tribute to the iconic original colorway that was worn by Penny Hardaway back in 1997, the upcoming “Blue Mirror” iteration adds a touch of blue to the sneaker.

The overall appearance of the Nike Foamposite “Blue Mirror” resembles that of the “Chromeposite” that was introduced during the All-Star Weekend. The only exception is that both the ankle and the eyestay of this sneaker sport a gradient blue tint over them. Moreover, the eyes, heel, inner lining, laces and tongue feature black detailing as well, which balance out the upper, which otherwise looks quite flashy. The Nike Foamposite “Blue Mirror” will actually mark the end of the year for Nike Sportswear, considering that its Nike release 2015 is scheduled for December 31st. All sneakerheads will need now is $230 to be able to spend and cop a pair when this sneaker arrives.
