This Air Trainer 1 Collection Is One Of Three fragment x NikeCourt Collections

The Nike Trainer 1 has made a name for itself by familiarizing professional tennis players with cross-training footwear. It was back in 1986 when the Nike Air Trainer 1 first appeared on the tennis court, and despite its uncanny look, Nike’s cross training sneaker model eventually rose to fame. Its forefoot strap, lateral outrigger and mid-top design made it equally beneficial in the gym and on the court, and now this legendary cross training model is receiving Nike release 2015 for a very special event.

fragment-nike-air-trainer-1-us-open-navy-1In commemoration of this year’s US Open 2015, NikeLab and Hiroshi Fujiwara of fragment design have collaborated once again for the release of unique, never before seen iterations of the Air Trainer 1. In the past, whenever Nike and Hiroshi Fujiwara have collaborated with one another, the iconic aesthetic that the legendary designer is known for have successfully been incorporated into some of Nike’s best kicks. So far, this has resulted in some of the most innovative sneaker styles that offer well-balanced optimal craftsmanship and minimalism.

Features of the Nike Air Trainer 1 that are a part of this collection include the fact that the uppers are made up of either premium leather or suede. The colors that they have been dressed up in are apparently a reference to the courts where the US Open takes place. Apart from constructed to be mid-cut sneakers, they are also equipped with a midfoot strap that ensures a secure fit. Lightweight cushioning is also provided by an Air unit, which is not visible, and a PU midsole, which rests above a rubber outsole that makes the trainer even more durable.

However, sneakerheads do not have to fret because later this summer, this collection will also be available on Nike.com and NikeLab locations all over the world. In fact, later this summer two more fragment x NikeCourt Air Trainer 1 Mid collections will also hitting the shelves.
