This “Black Ivory” Nike Tennis Classic AC Woven Appears Different Than The Original

The Nike Tennis Classic is one of Nike’s most iconic tennis shoes that they introduced back in 1982 and the AC Woven is an upgraded version of the original that Nike Tennis designed for the new generation. Typically the Nike Tennis Classic AC Woven is known for its optimal comfort and superior fit because of its cushioned midsole that rests beneath a woven leather upper. While the wait for the Nike release 2015 of a new Tennis Classic AC woven ends now, something appears to be different about the makeup of this upcoming version.

nikecourt-tennis-classic-ac-woven-0Nike apparently opted for a woven leather upper so that the Tennis Classic AC Woven would become known for premium durability and style. The lightweight cushioning that these tennis shoes offer are a result of its full-length EVA sockliner. To enhance the durability of the sneaker and give it a more streamlined look, it is equipped with a fused-together midsole and outsole. Herringbone pattern is also added beneath the rubber outsole, which is responsible for its impressive traction. However, the latest upcoming iteration of the Nike Tennis Classic AC Woven, which has been dubbed “Black Ivory,” does not appear to resemble the original version of this model.

The woven construction of the upper of this sneaker appears to differ, perhaps because of the black and ivory checkered pattern that it is covered in, along with sporting traces of reflective 3M material throughout. Add some more contrast to this sneaker, it is also equipped with an off-white midsole, while the branding featured on the tongue and the laces are both covered in the same black as the upper.
