By the end of May, photos of a new pair of Foamposites emerged on the Internet, showcasing a Nike Air Foamposite Pro that appeared to have received a “Gucci” treatment. Despite a brief hiatus, it seems that the Air Foamposite Pro is going to hit the shelves once again later this year and this new iteration that is on its way is seemingly taking inspiration from quite a high-end source. Although, the new Nike Foamposite Pro colorway, which has been dubbed “Gucci,” is slated to arrive at retailers on one of the September Foamposites Nike release dates 2015, new photos of the kicks keep on surfacing.
Over the past couple of years, Nike has announced a ton of Foamposites release dates and they apparently have no intention of slowing down their Foamposite releases. By the end of May, the Air Foamposite One AS QS “Chromeposite” had gotten restocked at Nike.com. Now its Foamposite Pro counter is also on its way to retailers in an iteration that has rightfully been dubbed “Gucci.” Apart from sharing quite a bit of resemblance with Nike’s Gucci-style releases and sporting Guicci’s signature colors, this Foamposite Pro even looks like somewhat of a custom pair or a sneaker created on NIKEiD.
The molded upper of this Gucci-themed Foamposite rendition is dressed up entirely in a dark matte black hue, which has been paired with a gum sole at the bottom. Green and red also make an appearance in the form of accents, visible on the heel tab, inner lining, insole, toe panel, and tongue. Thus, the Gucci aesthetic is obvious.
Initial rumors were hinting that Nike was planning to drop the Air Foamposite Pro “Gucci” on one of the September 2015 Nike release dates and apparently those rumors were correct. This Gucci-themed Foamposite Pro is indeed arriving at retailers on September 4th, a month before the Air Foamposite Pro “White Gucci.” Sneakerheads can expect these Foamposites to fly off the shelves quickly so they may want to keep a close eye on them.
