The 2016 Air Jordan 10 City Pack has somewhat been one of the highlights of this year. It was back in August 2015 when the rumor first began spreading that Jordan Brand would once again be paying homage to cities that have some sort of a connection with Michael Jordan. This marks the second time that Jordan Brand will be dropping an Air Jordan 10 City Pack, the first one being the one that they had introduced back in 1995. Even though so many Air Jordan 10 colorways are arriving this year, it has not stopped the Jumpman from whipping up yet another one.
There have been plenty of Air Jordan 10 City Pack related updates as of lately. Not too long ago, the Air Jordan 10 “Chicago” inspired by the city’s flag was unveiled. Recently, an Air Jordan 10 “Paris” was unexpectedly unveiled and has apparently even made its international retail debut. Even more recently, even the Air Jordan 10 “Los Angeles” has been unveiled and some new photos of the Air Jordan 10 “Charlotte” have popped up as well. However, the Air Jordan 10 iteration, which can be seen in this leaked photo here, is not a part of this year’s City Pack and is apparently a GS exclusive version.
Jordanheads are not mistaken if they feel that this GS sized and themed sneaker appears to somewhat resemble the Air Jordan 10 “Steel,” but this colorway has reportedly been dubbed “Pure Platinum.” Even though the leather uppers seem to be clean white in the photo, the nickname of this sneaker makes it obvious that they are actually dressed up in pure platinum. Although most of the sneaker is seemingly tonal, its collars eye stays, laces, outsoles and tongues are covered in black.
While there is no doubt that this Air Jordan 10 GG/GS “Pure Platinum” is not included in the City Pack, it is quite a coincidence that Jordan Brand are dropping it alongside the Air Jordan 10 “Los Angeles.” Therefore, small footed Jordanheads will have the option copping this sneaker instead of the “LA” version, or even both, on May 14th at a price of $140.
