This Holiday season, Nike Basketball seems to be in quite the giving mood, considering that they have been working on a 2015 Christmas Pack and they recently unveiled official photos of the included kicks. Nike’s Christmas collection from last year had also brought some dope sneakers and the sneakers from this year’s pack have been dressed up in a “Fire and Ice” theme. The 2015 Christmas Pack includes four of Nike Basketball’s leading signature models of today, one of them being the Kyrie 2, which has been dressed up in a color scheme apparently inspired by the Abominable Snowman or the Yeti.
Apart from the Nike Kyrie 2, the other three silhouettes that are a part of this pack are the LeBron 13, the Kobe 10 Elite and the KD 8. Although Nike has not yet published any official descriptions for each individual colorway, but all four of these sneakers visibly sport the holiday theme. At the same time, none of these colorways feature any conspicuous and obvious “Christmas” details; rather all four renditions are somewhat abstract. The icy, wintery colorway of the Nike Kyrie 2 that is a part of this pack is apparently inspired by the Abominable Snowman, an ape-like mythical creature that is believed to be living somewhere in the Himalayas.
The upper of this Nike Kyrie 2 “Christmas” iteration is dressed up in a blue and white color scheme in order to make it resemble the physical appearance of the Yeti. The mid-foot strap that this Kyrie 2 is equipped with also featured an embossed zig-zag graphic, which in this case apparently represents the Abominable Snowman’s teeth. Sneakersheads are probably wishing they can lace up in the Nike Kyrie 2 or the other sneakers from Nike’s 2015 Christmas Pack on Christmas day. However, they will have to wait a day longer since the Nike release 2016 of the collection takes place on December 26th and the Kyrie 2 will retail for $125.
