It has been quite a while since Nike dropped a new colorway of the Foamposite Pro. The last Nike release 2015 of the Foamposite Pro had taken place back in early October when the “White/Gorge Green” iteration of the model had arrived at retailers. On the other hand, most sneakerheads are quite preoccupied thinking about the retail debut of the second colorway of the highly anticipated adidas Yeezy Boost 750. So, perhaps to draw their attention away from the competition, Nike Sportswear decided to introduce an Air Foamposite Pro that draws inspiration from Kanye West’s upcoming Yeezy Boost 750.
This allegedly “Yeezy” inspired rendition of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro has apparently been dubbed “Pure Platinum.” Ever since the recent retail debut of the Yeezy Boost 750, many of the leading footwear brands released similar colorways of their own respective signature sneakers. Not so long ago, several photos of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Pure Platinum” had surfaced, but the photos were not very clear and detailed, so they did not provide a decent look at the sneaker. Fortunately, Instagram user @soleudecide recently shared much better photos of the sneaker and now it can be clearly seen what it actually looks like.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro appears to feature a tonal upper that is dressed up in two shades of grey. A special feature that this sneaker is equipped with is that its outsole will glow in the dark and its colorblocking resembles that of the 2012 “Pure Platinum” iteration of the Air Air Foamposite Pro Yeezy 2. Black also makes an appearance on this sneaker, while the heel and inner lining sport hits of red. So far, it seems that this sneaker cannot be expected to hit the shelves this year. It is being speculated that a Nike release 2016 is being speculated for this Air Foamposite Pro “Pure Platinum” for some time in March next year.
