As you may already know, Travis Scott has recently been a part of Jordan Brand’s advertisement campaign for the debut of the Air Jordan 33. It seems that he is also involved in some upcoming collaborative Air Jordan releases 2018, including a brand new running shoe model equipped with Nike’s REACT foam cushioning. You may recall that Travis Scott wore an Air Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack” iteration during Game 7 of the 2018 NBA Western Conference Finals and you can see it in the photo above. However, Travis Scott recently shared a video on his Instagram profile (@travisscott) revealing that this iteration would not be hitting the shelves.
In the mentioned video, which featured the phrase “STILL COOKING,” Travis Scott also unveiled a rather peculiar Air Jordan 1 iteration that he has been working on in collaboration with Jordan Brand. The collage image is actually screenshots from the video, while the other is apparently a Photoshop recreation of what the sneaker will look like. Of course, the most odd and unique feature of this iteration is the Nike “Swoosh” logo that is stitched backwards onto the lateral side of each shoe. Over all, it appears to be dressed up in a Black, Brown and White color scheme, while “Cactus Jack” branding can be spotted as well.
As for the running shoe, it does not seem to have been officially named yet, or at least its name has not been revealed for the time being, but can get a pretty clear look at it in the photo above. The above photo is from one of Travis Scott’s recent Instagram stories. Apparently, Travis invited Tinker Hatfield to join him at Astroworld and received this rainbow-colored running shoe as a thank-you. He wore a different colorway of shoe in San Francisco during WIRED Magazine’s 25th Anniversary Celebration event. The shoe’s heel piece seems to resemble that of the Air Max 120 and is equipped with REACT foam cushioning.
So far, nothing is known about when the Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 with the reversed “Swoosh” and his unnamed running shoe will be making their respective retail debuts. Hence, keep checking back to SneakersDog for more news and updates.
