Nike’s Terminator had been well received, featuring detailed patterns and having quality canvas and leather on the upper of the shoe, running the entire length of the upper in some releases. The Terminator High is a hybrid actually, inspired from very popular releases by Nike. One of them belongs to the Huaraches. The other release is a classic Nike. The name Terminator is reminiscent of the character from the popular movie.
This Terminator, however, is different from its predecessors. The colorway on this release consists of silver, white and yellow neon. This provides for a bright mix of colorways and is sure to attract shoppers with preference for multi-colored shoes that look decent and stylish. The tongue has a Nike logo and Swoosh. The inner linings are hued in matching colors while the laces are colored in neon yellow to differentiate them with the upper’s accents. The midsole of the shoe is colored in respective colorway’s hues. The outer sole uses gum construction.
These shoes are a respectable addition to Nike’s roster of comfort shoes. The perforated toe-box provides for plenty of ventilation, and the low cut design of the shoe makes up for lack of perforations as well. 21 Mercer from New York City, a well established Nike flagship store, had them available from April 21st, 2009 onwards. This was a limited edition release, so sneakerheads had to make sure you got them as soon as they heard about this pair.
Most of the times, Nike simply does not seem to be in the habit of whipping up colorways of the Blazer Mid, but the Swoosh has finally paid some attention to this mid-top basketball silhouette. These two different colorways of this classic Nike model feature suede uppers. Both have have tonal uppers, one with Birch-colored ones and the other with Provence Purple-colored ones. Additionally, stitching like that of a basketball can be spotted on their heels and near their midsoles. Furthermore, they are both equipped with Whitish soles.
Judging from their subtle, subdued color schemes, both these Blazer Mid iterations are apparently women’s exclusives. This Fall, they will hopefully be up for grabs from select Nike retailers.
