This Upcoming Nike Zoom Fly SP Colorway Is Inspired By The Big Apple

In terms of popularity, adidas may have surpassed Jordan Brand, but Nike is rightfully proving to be worthy competition. In response to the widespread popularity of the adidas Boost soles, Nike introduced their own variation earlier in 2017, in the form of the ZoomX. The Nike Vaporfly Elite, which Eliud Kipchoge wore during his 2-hour marathon, was the first sneaker to be equipped with the ZoomX. Prior to introducing the Vaporfly Elite though, Nike had designed a few prototypes, which ended up serving as the basis for the Zoom Fly SP, which is set to arrive in a New York City-themed colorway.

Compared to Nike’s running shoes like the Vaporfly Elite and the Zoom Vaporfly 4%, the Zoom Fly SP could be worn regularly not the street as well, when not running. The Zoom Fly SP is really a testament to the fact that Nike has made tremendous progressing with its running footwear technology. Inspired by the Big Apple, the uppers of this Zoom Fly SP iteration are dressed up in a combination of Dark Grey and White, while the lines running across the side panels are covered in sleek Black. Furthermore, it is also equipped with sold Black-colored rubber soles and features Silver-colored “Swoosh” logos on the side panels and the toe boxes. As a tribute to its source of inspiration, “NYC” is also embroidered onto each heel.
