The USC Trojans’ Locker Room Was Filled With Air Jordan “Gym Red” Pairs

For the time being at least, it kind of seems like Jordan Brand has taken a break with its flurry of Air Jordan 12 releases. Of course, 2016 had somehow turned out to be the year of the Air Jordan 12 and that still might be the case, since there are still several innovative colorways that Jordan Brand intends to drop later this year. These include the Air Jordan 12 “Black Nylon,” “Deep Royal Blue” and “Wool.” The Air Jordan 12 “Gym Red” was among the model’s most popular releases in 2016 and the USC Trojans football team recently received free pairs of the iteration.

However, while Jordan Brand was planning to bring it back, it turned out that had also been working on another Red-based iteration for the silhouette. This rendition turned out to be dressed up in a combination of Black, Gym Red and White, and was dubbed “Gym Red.” Jordan Brand even ended up re-releasing the sneaker a few times after its original release on July 2nd.

The University of Southern California’s football team just ended up losing against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the season opener. It was unfortunate that the game had not turned out as they had expected, but they had received quite a memorable surprise prior to the game. As was mentioned in a tweet from the team’s official Twitter account, @USC_Athletics, when the team had entered their locker room, they had discovered it filled with pairs of the Air Jordan 12 “Gym Red.” Even though the release of the release of the Air Jordan 12 “Gym Red” already happened quite a while ago, this post is still somewhat significant, considering that the sneaker has sold out just about everywhere. So, those who own a pair are quite fortunate.
