Jordan Brand and Travis Scott may end up unveiling one of this year’s special Air Jordan releases 2019 during the Super Bowl LIII halftime . Near the end of last month, TMZ reported that Travis Scott would be joining Maroon 5 in the lineup of musicians who will be performing during this year’s Super Bowl LIII halftime show in Atlanta at the Mercedes–Benz Stadium. This will be the first time Maroon 5 and Travis Scott will be working together. Much like Justin Timberlake during last year’s Super Bowl LII, it is being speculated that Travis Scott may end up rocking a brand new, special Air Jordan sneaker during his performance.
The Air Jordan 3 “JTH” Was Released During Super Bowl LII
No one within the sneaker community was expecting that a brand new iteration of the Air Jordan 3 would end up making its retail debut on February 9th, 2018, the day of the Super Bowl LII game. This never-before-seen iteration was actually a variation of last year’s Tinker Hatfield x Air Jordan 3. Hence, it was nicknamed “JTH” for “Justin Timberlake/Tinker Hatfield.” The Air Jordan 3 “JTH” was dressed up in a “White/Cement” color scheme and even featured tonal Nike “Swoosh” logo on its outer sides. It also had “NIKE” embroidered on its inner sides and Justin Timberlake’s signature on the inside of its right tongue.
Another Air Jordan Could Be Released During Super Bowl LIII
Travis Scott is currently Jordan Brand’s foremost collaborator from the world of hip hop. He was the face of the “Principal Scott: Class of XXXIII” promotional video for the Air Jordan 33. It has even been reported that the Air Jordan releases 2019 in June will end up including a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 colorway. In fact, even a mystery Travis Scott x Air Jordan 33 is scheduled to make its retail debut on January 27th, 2019 at a price of $175. Thus, it is very likely that Travis Scott will be laced up in some never-before-seen Air Jordan pair during his Super Bowl LIII halftime performance.
