Having hit the shelves a number of times last year, the Air Jordan 9 will join the Air Jordan releases 2019 later this year in a new colorway. Compared to the years before it, quite a few new colorways of the Air Jordan 9 made their way to retailers. More remarkable though was the fact that Jordan Brand transformed the Air Jordan 9 into winter boots and released several colorways of its NRG Boot variation. The Air Jordan 9 was also a part of the PE Set Ray Allen received from Jordan Brand in honor of his Hall of Fame induction.
As you may already know, two brand new colorways of the Air Jordan 9 have already joined this year’s earlier Air Jordan releases 2019. One of them was the Air Jordan 9 “UNC” inspired the Air Jordan 9 “Pearl Blue” from 2002. This “UNC” colorway made its retail debut on February 9th, 2019 in both adult and kids sizes. The second, more recent Air Jordan 9 colorway was nicknamed “Dream It, Do It,” a nod to Nike’s iconic 90s and ongoing slogan, “Just Do It.” Despite being mostly Black-colored, this was an otherwise vivid iteration because of the complementing hues like Dark Concord and University Red.
The Air Jordan 9 colorway you see here is not a brand new one, rather it looks quite similar to a sample that Jordan Brand designed back in 2013. The image at top is a rendering, but the one above is of the sample. It seems though that its uppers are going to predominantly clean White Black will likely cover the inner lining, heel pull tabs, laces and tongues, while also appearing over the “Jumpman” logo on the side of the soles. Moreover, its midsoles will apparently be covered entirely in a bright Red hue. As of now, this colorway does not have a nickname.
