Despite not joining the Air Jordan releases 2019, Chris Paul’s new Jordan CP3.XII PE pays tribute to Tiger Woods’ Masters Tournament victory. On April 14th, Tiger Woods was victorious in one of professional golf’s four major championship tournaments, winning the Masters title for the fifth time. This was also Tiger’s 15th major tournament victory as well. With his victory, Tiger Woods has made quite a remarkable comeback, perhaps the greatest in the history of the sport. Considering that Tiger happens to be a good friend of Chris Paul, it is not surprising that the latter was recently spotted rocking the Jordan CP3.XII PE you see here.
Tiger Woods first wore the signature Augusta National green sports coat after winning the Masters championship back in 1997. It was one of the most thrilling moments in the history of professional golf and Tiger Woods had made history. While Tiger Woods has long been regarded as a legend in the sport, the last time he won a Masters title was back in 2005, so his recent comeback was nothing short of being spectacular. Both Barack Obama and President Donald Trump congratulated Tiger for his historic win, while the latter will even be awarding him with Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The Jordan CP3.XII PE colorway, which Chris Paul recently laced up in, pays tribute to Tiger Woods in several ways. Coincidentally, Chris was wearing this pair as his team, the Houston Rockets, defeated the Utah Jazz with a score of 122-90. Foremost, the fact that its uppers are almost entirely covered in Red is a reference to the color of the shirts that Tiger has become known for wearing on Sundays. Another obvious reference is the faux tiger fur that can be spotted over the heel and lateral midfoot of each shoe. Of course, this PE will not be available as a part of upcoming Air Jordan releases 2019.
