Many of the sneakerheads reading this have probably not heard of Aleali May. She is actually one of Instagram’s most stylish women and is even being referred to as the queen of the fashion scene in Los Angeles. The 24-year-old is an Instagram celebrity, model and stylist who considers herself an “image consultant.” Her personal Instagram currently has 100k followers, while she even has a blog and Snapchat. At the same time, Aleali also happens to be quite an enthusiastic sneakerhead as well. Despite not having a direct connection with Jordan Brand, she is fortunate enough to have received an exclusive, one-of-one Air Jordan 1 pair.
Those who are avid sneakerheads and quite familiar Nike releases from the near past are probably feeling like they have seen this exclusive Air Jordan 1 pair before. While this is not entirely true since Jordan Brand has never dropped such an Air Jordan 1 iteration before, Aleali’s special pair actually resembles the Dunk Low “Viotech” that Nike had released last year. Back in June 2015, it was almost seeming like both Nike’s Dunk and Low models would soon become outdated. Of course, Nike proved everyone wrong by adding a multicolored twist to the Dunk Low with the “Viotech” rendition that featured premium suede uppers.
Sneakerheads who are familiar with or own a pair of the Nike Dunk Low “Viotech” will agree that Jordan Brand attempted to replicate its color scheme and construction for the special pair that was gifted to Aleali May. Hence, the uppers of this one-of-one Air Jordan 1 pair are also made up premium suede. Since this is a multicolored iteration like the “Viotech,” its suede uppers appear to be dressed up in a combination of Black, Grey, Navy, Orange, Peach, Purple and Royal. Its tongues also seem to be covered in some kind of faux hair and its laces are apparently made up of cowhide.
An Air Jordan 1 version like this one would likely fall under the premium category. Even though this sneaker will probably never hit the shelves, sneakerheads would likely be willing to pay an outrageous price to cop a pair.
