February 17th marked the Nike releases 2016 of the Kyrie 2 “Kyrie-Oke,” which served as a consolation prize since the Swoosh never dropped any All-Star iteration of Kyrie Irving’s second signature model. Also dubbed the “Green Glow,” the sneaker was inspired by the confidence and creativity that Kyrie Irving tends to radiate both off and on the court. The predominantly Black sneaker featuring Green Glow accents was retailing at select Nike retailers at the price of $120. Now a week later, new photos have emerged of another iteration of the Kyrie 2 dubbed “Brotherhood,” which will arrive at retailers next month.
During his Freshman season, Kyrie Irving was only able to join the Duke Blue Devils in 11 games because he suffered a sidelining injury as a result of which he could not continue. Despite his injury, Kyrie eventually got picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2011 NBA draft. Now as a part of one of NBA’s finest teams, Kyrie Iriving’s professional basketball career has been nothing short of impressive. However, it is likely that neither Kyrie himself nor Nike have forgotten collegiate roots, i.e. the time he spent playing for the Duke Blue Devils, which serves as inspiration for the latest Nike Kyrie 2 colorway.
It should be obvious by now that this Nike Kyrie 2 iteration is dressed up in the colors of the Duke Blue Devils. Thus, it sports a bright, predominantly Hyper Cobalt-colored mesh upper, which is also covered in Metallic Silver and White accents throughout, and this sneaker is also equipped with a Black-colored strap. The inside even features Kyrie’s motto of “Just Be You.”
Although a couple of days remain until February comes to an end, the Nike release 2016 of this Kyrie 2 “Brotherhood” has already been confirmed. Hence, sneakerheads can look forward to copping a pair on March 12th and by then, hopefully the Swoosh will have also announced the retail price of this sneaker.
