For the Oklahoma City Thunder, this off-season and summer had been rather busy, but the team seems to be ready to make a comeback. The Thunder already has plenty of new faces and this season they may even quite a few opportunities to seize. The team has even undergone this season’s first practice session, and both coach Billy Donovan and the star Russell Westbrook are apparently satisfied with their team’s ardor and zeal. The Thunder’s training camp for this season has already begun and will continue until October 1st. Therefore, sneakerheads can expect Russell Westbrook to make appearances sporting unique kicks like this Air Jordan 31 colorway.
Once the training camp ends, the Oklahoma City Thunder will pay a visit to Barcelona and Madrid, for some week-long international play. October 11 is also scheduled to also mark the Thunder’s first preseason game in which they face the Dallas Mavericks. This past Friday on September 23rd, the team had also hosted its media day. Of course, Russell Westbrook could not miss an opportunity like this one to lace up in some of the most eye-catching and stunning kicks. In fact, he was spotted at the team’s media day, wearing an Air Jordan 31 iteration that is being referred to as an “OKC” PE.
Regardless of whether or not Russell’s pair is indeed a PE, it is certainly one that sneakerheads have never seen before. The woven uppers of his Air Jordan 31 pair appear to have a predominantly clean White base. To emphasize the OKC theme, contrasting Orange-colored detailing is visible throughout, including over the inner linings and the large Jordan “Jumpman” logo on each side. Rather than just Russell Westbrook, many other Jordan Brand athletes can be expected to lace up in the Air Jordan 31 this upcoming NBA season that is rapidly approaching. As for Russell’s Air Jordan 31 “OKC” PE pair, sneakerheads should probably not keep their hopes high for its release.
