Several Nike Kobe A.D. Releases Are Scheduled To Arrive In April 2017

The most recent release of the Nike Kobe A.D. took place after this month had officially kick started. It was the model’s “Oregon” colorway that began to arrive at select Nike retailers from March 10th and onwards. As its nickname likely makes it obvious, it was not surprising that it could easily have been mistaken for an Oregon Ducks PE. After all, its uppers were dressed up in the team’s colors of Black and Volt, while its heel tabs featured their “O” logo. It turns out that April is scheduled to mark the retail debut of not one or two but several different Nike Kobe A.D. colorways.

Nike Kobe -2Just recently, Nike Basketball unveiled the brand new, upcoming “Time To ShineCollection that includes sneakers that Nike schools will wear in the NCAA Tournament. Along with the debuting KD 9 Elite, the LeBron 14 and the Kyrie 3, the collection also included the Kobe A.D. “Time To Shine.” After getting a first look at the Nike Kobe A.D. “NXT” not too long ago, more photos that new hybrid iteration were shared on Instagram by AWOL (@shopawol). Features of this iteration include a drawcord lacing system, mesh construction, large Nike “Swoosh” logos on each midsole, and shrouds over the midsole and toe areas.

Initially, when Nike unveiled the Kobe A.D. “City” of Compton,” it was believed to be a Player Exclusive for DeMar DeRozan, one of the shooting guards of the Toronto Raptors. This colorway is inspired by DeMar’s home city where he was born and raised, but it turns out that this seemingly monochrome sneaker will make its retail debut next month. Finally, there is the Kobe A.D. “Light Bone,” which as its nickname suggests has Grey- and Light Bone-colored uppers that have been paired with Gum Rubber outsoles.

Nike Kobe -3The Nike Kobe A.D. will first arrive at select Nike retailers on April Fool’s Day, i.e. April 1st, and will later become available at Foot Locker on April 6th. As for the Kobe A.D. “Time To Shine,” it actually already retailed.
