This Trunner NXT React is Jordan Brand’s latest running/training shoe model and it will join the Air Jordan releases 2019 later this year. It was Travis Scott who enabled the sneaker community to get a first look at the Jordan Trunner NXT React back in October 2018, as you can read here. In fact, it was Tinker Hatfield who first laced up in the Jordan Trunner NXT React for the WIRED’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, which took place between October 12th and 15th, 2018 in San Francisco. Travis Scott received his exclusive Trunner NXT React “Cactus Jack” pair after he took Tinker to visit Astroworld.
Back in 2016, when a photo of the Jordan Trunner LX was leaked online, it was quickly mistaken as being the Air Jordan 30, which had not yet been unveiled at that time. The fact Marcus Jordan himself promoted the model on social media further contributed to this misconception. The Jordan Trunner LX was designed to be a cross between a running and training shoe, while also having some lifestyle qualities. In addition to having breathable mesh uppers, a lot of the Trunner LX’s debut colorways featured faux croc-skin midfoot straps and mudguards. It also offered responsible cushioning due to being equipped with Injected Phylon midsoles.
The Jordan Trunner NXT React appears to have one-piece mesh uppers. The iteration you see here is not the same one that Travis Scott received since it featured “Cactus Jack” branding on its tongues. Its uppers are covered in a fading marbled color scheme consisting of Black, Blue, Grey, Red and White. Its tongues feature “Jordan Trunner” branding, while a large “Jumpman” logo can be spotted over the lateral quarter panels. Perhaps its most unique feature is the jagged, five-pronged edges of its heels. As of now, no release details are available about the Jordan Trunner NXT, but it will likely be among this year’s Air Jordan releases 2019.
