After the adidas Originals Tubular made its retail debut, it remained available only for a short amount of time and even during that limited period, it got revamped numerous times. Even in the past few months, adidas has upgraded the Tubular to quite an extent, incorporating Primeknit and Weave into their uppers. Back in July last year, adidas revealed that the Tubular would be undergoing yet another overhaul and transformation when its Spring adidas release 2016 occurs. Much like Jordan Brand, adidas also decided to make an early revelation about their plans for 2016.
Adidas is taking a “boot” approach for their Spring 2016 high top versions of the Originals Tubular, which they had originally introduced as a lifestyle model. The Defiant, Doom, Nova and X are among the new Tubular models that are going to be a part of this Spring 2016 collection. It seems quite obvious that these Tubular editions are inspired by the Y-3 and the Yeezy, which may or may not be a bad thing. Clearer and more detailed photos of perhaps one of the flashiest rendition from the collection have surfaced, which showcase a spectacular and striking Metallic Silver colorway of the sleek adidas Originals Tubular Doom.
The upper of this adidas Originals Tubular Zoom iteration is dressed up in multiple shades of grey. A tonal snakeskin pattern that covers the cage panels, heel and toe of this sneaker compliments the rest of the upper. The thing that makes this sneaker so flashy is the Metallic Silver hue that adorns the snakeskin pattern. Moreover, the monosock upper of this sneaker is also secured by its signature elastic forefoot strap and the usual distinct Tubular Doom midsole lies beneath. Last but not least, both the heel and tongue sport the Three Stripes logo. No details available yet, but the adidas release 2016 of the adidas Originals Tubular Doom “Metallic Silver” is expected to take place soon.
