The women’s Air Jordan 1 Retro High Zip was unveiled back in mid-January. It marked the beginning of Jordan Brand taking a step forth towards dropping more Air Jordan releases 2018 for their female demographic. At a quick glance, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Zip may almost seem just like the iconic model, but a closer look reveals that it is actually quite different. The most obvious fact is that the lacing system has been replaced with a longitudinal zipper at the front and the Nike “Swoosh” logo is missing from the sides. Jordan Brand will be dropping two new Air Jordan 1 High Zip colorways for summer.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High Zip made its retail debut on March 8th, 2018 in two tonal colorways, a Black and a White one. Each retailed at a price of $150 and was available in women’s sizes 5 to 12. In addition to their all-Black and all-White tonal uppers, and identical all-White soles, the longitudinal zipper of both iterations were Gold-plated. Jordan Brand recently unveiled some of the kicks they will be dropping as a part of upcoming Summer Air Jordan releases 2018. For women, these include an Air Jordan 1 Low Lifted, an Air Jordan 3 SE, and the two Air Jordan 1 High Zip colorways featured above.
These upcoming colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Zip are dubbed “Particle Beige” and “Mica Green.” Their uppers appear to be made up of smooth suede and they have been nicknamed after the Particle Beige and Mica Green hue that covers their uppers entirely. They also equipped with Brass longitudinal zippers, tonal heel tabs and White rubber soles. They also feature Red-colored tabs at the inner sides that near the “Nike Air” branding. Both of these Air Jordan 1 Retro High Zip “Particle Beige” and “Mica Green” colorways are scheduled to make their retail debut at a price of $150 on April 13th, 2018.
